After a more than a year of being grounded from covid, and months
of reading articles about how everyone is hitting the road, despite the
expected crowds, campsites fully reserved through September, price
of gas, threats of natural disasters (fires, droughts, floors), and what not, I
am not going to let these things postpone another On The Road trip. So,
tomorrow I will begin my planning for OTR in earnest. I will plan for
just any trip, think about some options, and then on the appointed day, fire up
the Defender, toss Donner in his set, punch in Peter Seger’s "This Land is
Your Land" on my iPad, and go wherever the road takes us.
